1. Using Groooup

You may use Groooup to discover potential teammates, create teammate searches, recruit members for groups, apply to groups and use other features that we make available through the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Groooup complies with applicable laws, the rules of your educational institution and these Terms.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your Groooup account. You should keep your login credentials secure and must not knowingly allow another person to misuse your account.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where responsibility cannot reasonably or lawfully be attributed to you.

3. Student and academic information

Groooup uses academic and teamwork information to help students find relevant teammates and groups. You should provide information that accurately reflects your institution, programme, academic term, modules, classes and other relevant details.

You must not impersonate another person, falsely claim an affiliation with an educational institution, or intentionally provide misleading information in order to gain access to users, groups or features for which you are not eligible.

4. Matching and group recruitment

Groooup may use information supplied by users to identify or display potentially relevant teammates, searches, groups or applications. Matching results are intended to assist your decision-making and do not guarantee compatibility, availability, academic performance or successful group work.

You are responsible for deciding whether to connect, form a group or work with another user.

5. Contact with other users

Groooup does not provide an internal messaging service. Where a teammate connection or other eligible relationship is accepted, Groooup may make verified account contact information available so that the relevant users can communicate outside the platform.

Contact information obtained through Groooup must be used responsibly and for legitimate communication related to the connection or group activity. You must not use another user's contact information for spam, harassment, unauthorised marketing or other unrelated purposes.

6. Acceptable use

When using Groooup, you must not:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate or deliberately harm another user.
• Publish or submit unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit or seriously offensive content.
• Impersonate another person or intentionally misrepresent your identity or academic affiliation.
• Use Groooup to send spam, advertisements or unsolicited commercial communications.
• Attempt to obtain another user's private information without authorisation.
• Attempt to bypass security, eligibility, access controls or other technical restrictions.
• Interfere with the operation, security or availability of Groooup.
• Use automated methods to scrape, harvest or systematically extract user information without permission.
• Use Groooup for unlawful activities or in a manner that violates the rights of another person.

7. User content

You remain responsible for information and content that you submit to Groooup. You should only submit content that you have the right to provide.

By submitting content that is necessary for your use of Groooup, you allow us to process, store and display that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate the service and provide its features.

We may restrict or remove content where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates security or safety concerns, or is otherwise inappropriate for the operation of the service.

8. Academic responsibility

Groooup helps users find potential teammates; it does not supervise academic work or determine how assignments should be completed.

You remain responsible for complying with your institution's requirements concerning group work, academic integrity, assessment rules and collaboration. Groooup must not be used to facilitate academic misconduct.

9. Third-party services

Groooup relies on third-party technology and infrastructure providers to operate parts of the service. Their services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services or websites that are outside our control.

10. Availability and changes

Groooup is an evolving service. We may modify, add, remove, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for development, maintenance, security or operation of the service.

We do not guarantee that Groooup will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to Groooup where we reasonably believe an account has violated these Terms, created a security or safety risk, abused the service, or where restriction is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect Groooup or its users.

You may stop using Groooup at any time. For account-related or deletion requests, contact us at support@groooup.com.

12. Disclaimer

Groooup provides tools intended to help students discover and connect with potential teammates. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as available" basis.

We do not verify or guarantee every statement made by users and do not guarantee the conduct, reliability, academic performance or suitability of any user or group.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Groooup will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or your interactions with other users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Privacy

Our collection and handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Subject to applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms or the use of Groooup will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Groooup develops or where legal, security or operational requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised where appropriate.
